Losing three of its first four games to open the 2014-15 schedule, Seattle U was in desperate need of a second scorer to step up and establish himself as a credible sidekick to star point guard Isiah Umipig. Over the Redhawks' last two games, a pair of convincing victories at local sites, the team appears to have found that man in Jarell Flora.

Redhawks outduel Mavericks in 98-74 shootout

In this opening chapter of the college basketball season, there's no such thing as a "must-win" game. Seattle U loses season opener to Texas State

College basketball's opening night was an eventful one for the WAC. The UMKC men's team stunned Missouri in a road upset. Bakersfield lost a four-overtime thriller to High Point. Grand Canyon faced top-ranked Kentucky and lost by 40. Chicago State lost to Arizona State by 36. New Mexico State lost to Wichita State by 17. But the worst defeat of the evening might have belonged to Seattle U.
